Oversee the dealership''''s commercial product and service ranges, ensuring strategic development and performance. Maximize return on investment through effective cost control, budgeting, and financial oversight. Leadership & Staff Development : Lead and motivate the dealership''''s management and staff teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Manage employee performance, appraisals, and development through targeted training programs and performance reviews. Promote team spirit and ensure strong employee relations to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Customer Service & Satisfaction : Drive a customer-centric approach across all departments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality. Handle key customer relations and public interactions when necessary, ensuring a professional dealership image. Financial Management & Compliance : Control cash flow, stock, and assets, ensuring compliance with franchise standards and corporate governance. Monitor labour performance, safety, and local authority requirements to meet legal compliance. Conduct monthly reviews of management accounts and ensure cost control aligns with budget objectives. Sales & Marketing Strategy : Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and achieve dealership targets. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute sales campaigns, advertising, and promotions. Analyze market trends, track competitor activities, and forecast sales performance. Risk Management : Implement security measures to protect assets and minimize operational risks. Oversee safety and compliance across the dealership to ensure the safety of both staff and customers. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Experience : Minimum 6-8 years in a Dealer Principal role within the commercial motor industry or dealership environment. Proven track record of success in dealership management, with knowledge of sales, service, and parts operations. Education & Qualifications : Relevant tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) is advantageous. Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. Relevant industry certifications and training are advantageous. Skills : Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial, sales, and operational management. Excellent leadership and team development skills. Sound knowledge of truck and commercial product offerings, manufacturer requirements, and dealership operations. Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Other Requirements : Drivers license (Code 14 preferred). Willingness to relocate (if required).
