Transport Coordinator

Key responsibilities:Transporter OnboardingTransport Planning (Booking and Route Allocation)Transporter MonitoringTransport Query ManagementReconciliations (Transport and Diesel)Road Transport Reporting (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly)Monitor WhatsApp groups and respond in real timeInform problem/issues to the relevant department or transportersEnsure scanning issues are resolved on Transport Management SystemEnsure that communication is maintained with all transporters and staffCoordinate, monitor and record all communication from various sitesCreate and maintain register on all issues per site, transporter, FEL downtimes, etc.Report to coal ops on extended waiting periods at the port, weighbridges, mines, etc.Be the first contact in case of emergenciesInform relevant key stakeholders within the company of emergenciesEnsure ticket system is maintained and updated at all timesMinimum requirements:A Grade 12 (Matric)Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/related is preferred2years experience in a logistics or transportation environmentStrong computer skills and knowledge of logistics software systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work shiftsA valid drivers licence and own transport is preferred
