Import Buyer – Raw MaterialsEmployer DescriptionOur client is a supplier of raw materials and food ingredients based in Johannesburg North.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for the following:Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate price, and manage relationships with international vendors, predominantly Chinese suppliers.Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.Collaborate with other departments to ensure purchase orders are confirmed, cover is booked, and goods are shipped timeously.Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery.Maintain relationships with existing international suppliers and identify new supplier opportunities.Other related duties.Desired Experience & QualificationQualificationsMatric.Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or Equivalent.SkillsMinimum 6 years of experience buying.Must have solid knowledge and experience within the food and ingredients industry.Knowledgeable about HS-codes/Custom Duty.Package & RemunerationSalary / PackageR360k CTC, Provident Fund, Medical Insurance, Group Life.
