Job Summary: The Telecommunication Solutions Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice and solutions in the telecommunications field, including voice, data, and network systems.
The consultant works closely with clients to assess their needs, develop strategies, and implement effective telecommunications solutions that improve business operations and communication infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, telecommunications need, and existing infrastructure.
Solution Design: Develop customized telecommunications solutions, including voice, data, VoIP, wireless, and cloud-based communication systems.
Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on network architecture, communication protocols, and emerging technologies in the telecommunications industry.
Implementation: Oversee the deployment and integration of telecommunications systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns related to their telecommunications systems.
Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis to determine the most cost-effective solutions for clients.
Training: Train clients and internal teams on the use and management of new telecommunications systems.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all systems, configurations, and changes for future reference.
Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors to source and manage telecommunications equipment and services.
Market Research: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the telecommunications industry to provide clients with innovative solutions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in telecommunications consulting, network design, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems, including PBX, VoIP, SIP, MPLS, and cloud-based solutions.
Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.
Certification in relevant telecommunications technologies (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, or CompTIA Network+) is a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with unified communications platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom).
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles related to telecommunications.
Experience in working with international clients or multi-site deployments.
Understanding of regulatory requirements in telecommunications (e.g., FCC regulations).
