Job DescriptionResponsible for supporting the Company plant with chemical analysis and monitoring of critical materials and plant processes (e.g. pretreatment, e-coat) to ensure strict adherence to quality standards. The incumbent will also provide technical support for investigations and problem solving. Calibration/verification of analytical equipment and adherence to S.H.E.Q standards will form part of the scope of work of the technician.The Job RequirementsExperience with various analytical techniques - e.g. Karl Fischer titration, scanning electron microscope, FTIR spectrophotometer – and test methods e.g. titrations.Analytical and conceptual thinking.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Ability to perform the minimum required physical and mental requirements of the function.People's Principles as per LEAD.OutputsResponsible for analysis, monitoring and evaluation of materials and plant processes (e.g. metal pretreatment, e-coat) to ensure strict adherence to company quality standards.Use analytical techniques and chemical knowledge to assist with investigations and problem solving.Conducts material evaluation as per the ISIR process.Conducts calibration/verification of equipment.Ensures adherence to SHEQ standards.Responsible for self-development.Ensures departmental operational plans are met e.g. deadlines.Performs delegated S.H.E.Q tasks and duties & informs superior about deviations.Ensure compliance with the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E.Q requirements.QualificationMinimum NQF 7 - Degree in Chemistry or relevant equivalent.Knowledge and Experience3 years' experience working in a chemical laboratory.Experience with automotive coatings, metal pretreatment and e-coat processes would be advantageous.Please forward CV and ALL supporting documentation to,
