Our engineering client based in Durban is looking for an experienced Technical Service Manager to join their team
Key requirements Marine experienceAt least 5 years of experience in a similar roleQualified artisan (Diesel fitter/Mechanic/Mechatronics)Key responsibilities Drive customer success by guiding the team to solve technical problemsDemonstrate a hands-on approach, all the way from project implementation to completionMaintain strong relationships within the technical services teamPlan and implement jobsHelp define projects scope, goals and deliverablesCollect and manage budget, allocate project resources, create a schedule and project timelineTrack deliverables, support and direct team, lead quality assurancePresent to the CEO reports on progress as well as problems and solutionsImplement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputsEvaluate and assess the result of the projectsImplement long-range and immediate plans and objectives of the Technical services departmentMaintain accurate records of jobs completed and associated financial costs.
