Purpose of PositionTo manage all activities in the Clinical pathology laboratory on a daily basis to ensure that set targets and objectives are achieved and maintain high quality standards at all times.
RequirementsCertificate: Business ManagementCertificate: Financial ManagementCertificate: ManagementDiploma: MarketingHPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice FieldNational Diploma: Biomedical TechnologyRequired ExperienceKnowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), Google and Google Mail, Instrumentation and Methodologies, Meditech system, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, relevant pathology test procedures, and senior and/or supervisory or managerial experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.Manage all technical tasks in order to ensure efficient specimen flow in the laboratory.Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved.Perform operational management tasks in order to ensure operational priorities and initiatives that may be required.Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld.Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens.Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education.Applicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit.
