Technical Buyer / Procurement OfficerRef: LRF24043Type: PermanentA large international production business is seeking to employ a Technical Procurement Officer in the bigger Paarl / Cape Winelands area.You will be responsible for the procurement of technical, production, and project-related purchases and procurement-related administration.Requirements±3 years' work experience in procurement (Technical/mechanical procurement experience an advantage but not essential)2 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain will be an advantage, but not essential.A relevant qualification will be beneficial, but not essential.Main ResponsibilitiesForecast purchases based on sales and production plans.Create and maintain relationships with suppliers.Review prices, product specifications, and lead times from various suppliers.Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices.Maintain and update supplier database.Coordinate and communicate purchases, collections, and deliveries with all parts of the business.Manage outstanding orders and deliveries.Standardise procurement procedures, reduce processing time and improve delivery schedules.Place purchase orders.Prepare and issue purchase orders.Implement and manage a stock-keeping and procurement system for on-site stores.Ad Hoc or other related duties as assigned.Salary – Negotiable dependant on skills and experience.HOW TO APPLYEnsure you meet all the requirementsComplete all the requested information belowRemember to attach your CVOnce your application has been made, you will receive a generic e-mail to confirm the receipt of your applicationOnly short-listed candidates will be contactedShould you not be contacted by a consultant within 2 weeks, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
