PPG Refinish Light Industrial Coatings is looking for a high-performing Technical Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will have existing experience in the Industrial and commercial field.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively contribute to the business to help reach organizational goals. Execute segment strategy in collaboration with segment managers. Guide and deliver development and execution of target Key Account Management Plans to reach share growth targets. Maintain links with key decision makers and have a good understanding of customer needs and requirements. Must be able to maintain and grow existing market share, unlock new markets, and identify opportunities in the industry. Effectively contribute to the sales, product, and segment teams by gathering, organizing, and sharing market intelligence. Increase customer retention by understanding our products as well as opposition products. Keep clients up to date with latest technical products and its attributes. Take part in the training and development plans to attain the desired levels of skills, knowledge, and expertise. Ability to respond to questions regarding a product specification. Ability to grow indirect sales through distributors and identify new distributors. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service. High level of understanding of the Light Industrial and commercial market. Build the PPG brand and promote X-SBU business and opportunities. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar technical/industrial B2B environment. Previous FTS experience will be a distinct advantage, with a NACE or similar qualification. A proven track record of delivering growth results and meeting financial objectives. Strong business acumen demonstrating ability to define, develop and execute on new business opportunities. Ability to engage external customers directly and effectively. Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative and ability to work on own initiative. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas to summarize complex issues. Strong professionalism and work ethic, exhibiting a clear compliance culture. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Good level of Micro Soft and general computer use. Qualified spray painter. JOB DIMENSION: Externally dealing with high level managers at various stakeholders in the LIC/CT Coatings market. Based in Longmeadow Edenvale Head office. Travelling locally and internationally. Reporting to the National Sales Manager for LIC/CT in South Africa.
