Core Description
Perform acceptance/ commissioning/ repairs/ installation/ recoveries/ projects and maintenance activities on Telkom's power equipment, at operational level, to ensure Telkom's network reliability at all times.
Job Responsibilities
OUTPUT 1: Repaired Equipment/ System
Receive and analyse fault information
Diagnose fault/ identify requirements and source spares
Repair fault/take corrective action
Conduct functionality tests
Update records
Provide report back/ recommendations
OUTPUT 2: Installed Equipment/ System
Receive and analyse request for installation
Obtain installation details
Install equipment / system
Evaluate information on software/ hardware
Configure software/ hardware
Perform functional test
Update records
Provide report back/ recommendations
OUTPUT 3: Recovered Equipment/ System
Receive and analyse request for recovery
Recover equipment
Scrap/return equipment
Store instruments/equipment
Update records
Reconfigure network elements
Provide report back/ recommendations
OUTPUT 4: Commissioned / Accepted Installations
Receive specification / requirement
Confirm equipment requirement
Perform quality conformance test / audits
Perform functional quality tests
Test alarms and remote management
Ensure Certificate of compliance is issued Cut over equipment
Perform final quality and acceptance tests
Complete administration
Provide report back/ recommendations
OUTPUT 5: Maintained Equipment/ Systems/ Perform routines
Monitor equipment/system performance
Determine maintenance/ TBI activities
Execute maintenance/ TBI activities
Provide assistance on request
Update records
Conduct audits
Provide report back/ recommendations
