Job Description Old Mutual Insure is looking for a Team Lead in the Supplier department. The role will be responsible for supervising a team of Supplier Administrators and include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team. Ensure that all activities are resolved in accordance with the service level agreements and within the specified guidelines and procedures.
You Would Critical objectives and responsibilities Lead a team of negotiators and/or assessors to develop a profitable portfolio of risks.Coordinate daily claims activities by reviewing the types of supplier requests against the standard operating procedures.Manage engagements and act as a point of call to stakeholders regarding service providers and data on all relevant systems.Conduct monthly system checks to ensure alignment.Manage daily operations in terms of productivity through daily tracking and reporting; analysis of productivity related to claims processes, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and compliance standards and appropriate decision making.Manage internal and external relationships through discussions with portfolio managers (underwriting) on claims/cover/interpretation.Manage quality control and data integrity of all systems.Manage team and ensure training policy is adhered to at all times.Continuous improvement to ensure effective service Contribute to projects by acting as an SME, where required.Establish appropriate initiatives and manage projects end to end to achieve desired objectives, in line with optimization and improved service delivery.Engage with suppliers and process engineers and establish process flows of "as-is" and "to-be" processes.Assist with testing as required when implementing new systems.Have knowledge of all systems to be able to assist the team if there is an issue.Promote and foster collaboration across internal departments to ensure effective service delivery.Service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction Establish and maintain quality standards that drive customer delight and cost efficiency.Manage queries and complaints.Resolve escalated and/or complex client queries and complaints.Develop and maintain efficient professional relationships with clients, brokers, and service providers.Cost control and governance adherence Provide support and input to Procurement with regards to suppliers.Identify and engage with Procurement on new products.Track and monitor BBBEE certifications on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.Manage the loading of banking details, validating banking details, authorizing payments and release of payment, including the release of cash in lieu of payments and supplier payments within the authorized mandate.Authorize referrals on TIA.Conduct monthly quality audits.Contribute to the SIU forum discussions on contentious claims.Review reports related to staff mandates.Conduct Quality Assurance Audits.Collaborate across the OMI value chain to achieve alignment within the claims COE, to establish a standardized approach on handling claims matters.Identify risks and outline mitigating factors.Ensure data accuracy – Ensuring that the supplier data is accurate.Check daily exception reports for sync issues.Generate Monthly Claims Supplier Report - Discoverer B-BBEE report checking the 100% BO and BWO SPs to ensure percentages are correct.Quality people practices Continuously review and measure team activities against targets, standards, and service levels.Conduct case studies for training staff (new and existing).Align own behavior with the organization culture and values.Share and transfer product, process, and systems knowledge to colleagues.Ensure achievement of own performance objectives.Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas.Actively participate in own professional development and career path.Manage the team's performance.Actively promote a culture of learning and high-performance culture amongst team members.Experience, knowledge & skills required Diploma and/or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification in general insurance.3 – 5 years' experience in claims.1 – 2 years' experience in managing a team of Claims Handlers would be advantageous.The Recruitment process: TA Interview: This will be a discussion with a member of the TA Team to give you an understanding of our business, our culture & values and more context on the role.
