The position will report to the Manager Depot and is based in Braamfontein Depot (Gauteng).Job PurposeTo ensure the safety and productivity of all maintenance Technicians, employees staffed on designated shift, as well as ensuring that activities scheduled for completion are safely executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.Key ResponsibilitiesBeing a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.Monthly proposition of improvement ideas.Manage daily team activities and team briefings.Weekly review meetings with the customer to review all the faults that have been fixed and assign the responsibility of which is deemed not to be Gibela.Ensure that the team members are supplied with PPE, including safety glasses, gloves and protective outer clothing.B Tech or Advanced Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.Industrial and technical background with a minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience, troubleshooting preferably in a similar industry.Proven record managing a technical team.Must have experience or good understanding of any of the maintenance management information systems i.e. Maximo, SES, SAP, MES.Special RequirementsThe job involves carrying out technical support and maintenance on a 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day, weekend).Closing Date23 September 2024Should you not hear from us in 30 days, consider your application as unsuccessful.Gibela Rail Transport Consortium is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
