For nearly 40 years, we have delivered unique, hands-on science experiences for children through our after-school programs, birthday parties, workshops, special events, and summer camps. Job SummaryAs Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and overseeing the coordination of all areas of business in Worcester County, as well as creating and implementing sales and marketing plans to bring in new opportunities and maintaining current clients. You will initially learn and teach our programs while hiring, training, and supporting other instructors as our business grows.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary coordinator for all after-school programs (ASPs), workshops, camps, events, and birthday parties.Teach programs and be the initial primary instructor/performer for some events while training and coordinating other instructors as the business grows.Maintain relationships with clients and update contact databases as needed.Handle incoming inquiries for programming.Create new business opportunities (schools, organizations, camps).Reach assigned goals through outreach and cross-selling programs.Manage client communications such as booking confirmations, invoices, follow-up surveys, and requested promotional material.Build and implement marketing plans for each area of business.Use social media to network, maintain relationships, and build business branding.Manage digital, paper, and promotional marketing material.QualificationsComplete background check (required).Teaching, working and/or volunteering experience with GROUPS of children (required).Event management experience (preferred).Administrative experience (preferred).Business development experience and desire to help build a new region in an organization (a plus).Fun, outgoing, engaging personality who is great with children and parents (required).Organized (required).Driver's license and reliable vehicle, willingness to travel throughout Worcester County and to Springfield, MA (required).Ability to work from home with a workspace and some climate-controlled storage (garage, shed, inside room) to store materials and totes (required).Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer/online literate (required).Performance or Theater Experience (a plus).
