About the role
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial role in providing clear and relevant tax advice to a diverse group of stakeholders for the Middle East and African business.
Key responsibilities
Management of large and varied range of tax projects.
Provision of tax advice in relation to M&A Activity in the region, liaising with legal, Treasury, Management and Commercial departments.
Advising on post-acquisition implementation and restructuring as required.
Business partnering with divisional and group management, including being the point of contact for tax purposes for all relevant stakeholders (e.g., Regional Financial Controllers/Country Compliance Managers, regional commercial teams, corporate functions) for Middle East and Africa.
Management of tax audit controversy and engaging with local tax authorities & tax advisors across various jurisdictions.
Identifying and assessing the impact of new tax legislation in various jurisdictions and application to Kerry.
Supporting the business on commercial transactions as they arise.
Identifying product transfer pricing projects and liaising with the commercial & country compliance teams to resolve.
Involvement in the management of regional recharges.
Playing an active role in international tax strategy, planning, transfer pricing, R&D credits and financing projects.
Responsible for the corporate and deferred tax reporting for Middle East and Africa, including tax disclosures in financial statements.
Responsible for the review of the tax computations and tax returns for this region.
Qualifications and skills
Relevant tax qualification required.
ACCA or CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification an advantage.
Strong relevant experience in corporate tax experience ideally gained in a Big 4 professional practice firm or from a large multinational environment.
Ability to deal effectively in a multi-jurisdictional and global environment.
High degree of commercial acumen and ability to make reasoned decisions and judgements.
High levels of personal credibility, professionalism, and integrity.
Willing to challenge the status quo whilst maintaining a team ethos.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convert the technical to non-technical.
Ability to close out team tasks and projects efficiently and decisively.
Self-driven, organised and focused with a strong work ethic.
