Tax Accountant: South Africa & International

Provide support to South Africa or international operations tax matters.
Work closely with tax specialists, tax managers, and tax advisors.
•    Preparation of associated tax schedules for tax quarterly tax computations and tax returns for South Africa, Rest of Africa, and international operations.  •    Ensure accurate reporting in the books for all assigned group entities.
•    Preparation of GL account reconciliations monthly, is very important.
•    Assistance with year-end tax disclosure preparation for financial statements purposes and tax rate reconciliations.
•    Review tax-related disclosures in financial statements, including consistency of related party transactions disclosures.
•    Provide actionable inputs for enhancing the group tax reporting and tax compliance processes.
•    Assist in dealing with the auditors in all countries regarding tax matters for year-end and statutory financial statement purposes.
•    Responsible for following up on financial proceedings, and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule relating to relevant accounts.
•    Provide tax training to relevant internal teams (FSSC, finance) to address identified knowledge gaps.
•    Support and coordination of tax compliance for South Africa, the Rest of Africa, and international operations.
•    Supports finance, FSSC, and other business areas with information and advice regarding all tax matters, redirecting or escalating requests.
•    Contributing to the successful delivery of tax solutions for the Group.
•    Support the Group Tax agenda to drive tax process efficiency and simplification in coordination with Group Tax, and local tax advisors.
