At Arts & Science, we take pride in our legacy of innovation and discovery that has changed the way we think about the world.Your opportunity:Under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager, System Administrator, the incumbent takes complete ownership of day-to-day production support, and IT infrastructure related issues, and assumes responsibility for technical infrastructure activities and/or projects by providing technical support.The System Administrator will be accountable for the tasks below:Performing daily infrastructure health check to ensure stability, reliability, and securityHandling day to day production support requests and timely fulfillment of onboarding and offboarding requestsPerforming access management and attestation ensuring compliance with audit standardsMonitoring and managing SSL certificates, timely renewal of certificates to ensure the web applications are secureAssisting with OS updates and quarterly patching of all servers managed by A&S IITServing as the first point of contact for Client Services team providing technical support to resolve complex desktop related issuesYour responsibilities will include:Analyzing server and/or desktop performance dataMonitoring the performance and integrity of serversTroubleshooting complex computer system problemsTroubleshooting network performance issuesLiaising with technical specialists to resolve end-user issuesOverseeing access controls in the virtual computing and storage infrastructureCreating complex and technical documentation and user support guidesUpdating and maintaining documentationEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum of 4 years recent and related experience working in a complex, heterogeneous computing environment administering and providing day to day supportMinimum 3 years of experience using ITIL Incident and Change management processIn-depth experience working with a range of computing equipment and software including Unix/Linux and OS/X (workstations, servers including VSphere, VMWare), Windows (servers, terminal services), Internet services (email, Samba, etc.), networking and security, virtualized serverExperience with network-based storage solutions (e.g., NAS/SAN storage systems) and remote-control technologies (e.g. Bomgar)Hands-on experience using Nagios monitoring tool or similar toolsExperience handling IT audit requirements and close audit concernsHands-on experience reviewing vulnerability reports and taking remediation actionExperience maintaining integrity and security of data backups; experience monitoring system log files for suspicious activities and taking appropriate actionsExperience using device management tools such as Quest and IntuneFamiliarity with End Point Protection tools such as ESET, Sentinel1, etc.Maintain an asset/software inventory and system documentation for all servers, virtual machines, containers, and appliancesExperience preparing and conducting access attestation for yearly auditExperience supporting VoIP and MS Teams Phone systemsTo be successful in this role you will be:ApproachableResourcefulSelf-directedTeam playerClosing Date: 09/03/2024, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - ContinuingSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 12 -- $79,874. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $102,147.
