We are looking for an experienced accountant for the role of Financial Manager.Specific TasksBudgeting Oversee the overall corporate budgeting preparation, financial management and financial monitoring processes.Financial Analysis and ReportingPerform financial analysis, reporting and management activities.Ensure that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time.Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.Generate financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.Make sure annual financial statements are prepared and are appropriate before submission to the Board for ratification.Human ResourcesHire and train new employees on financial operations.Participate in performance evaluation of finance staff and conduct counselling sessions to identify skill development needs.Ensure accurate calculation and distribution of salaries and other benefits to employees.Perform the monthly Payroll run on the Payroll system.Financial managementFinancial control of the Head Office and co-ordinate the financial activities of all entities through relevant departmental headsMonitor and manage all expenses within the allotted budgets.Strategic AnalysisEstablish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability.Legal and regulatoryEnsure financial team follows the institutions policies and regulations.Comply with and keeping up to date with all the relevant tax laws & regulations and finance and finance related regulations, guidelines and codes of best practice.Systems & ProceduresDevelop standard and new accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency.Review & reconciliationReview annual budgets and recommend any changes if needed.Assist in account payable and receivable activities.Perform account reconciliation activities.Forecasting & Foresight Establish accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and manage regular reporting requirements.Input into New Business initiatives.AuditPrepare the financial system and documentation for the external annual audit.Management ActivitiesControl of finances for Branches & Divisions which includes the following duties; - Visits for financial/administrative matters, - Financial management, travel arrangementsFinancial management of the Website related activities.Administration, financial management of data and execution of the strategic planning activities in relation to finance.Financial management of staff & staff benefits and staff stationed at Branches & Divisions.AdministrativeAttend Executive Board meetings and give action to decisions related to matters of finance.Liaise with auditors in relation to preparing for annual general audit.Perform ad hoc administration dutiesTax and other legislative submissionsMonthly EMP201 reconciliation and submissionsPerform VAT submissions for all entitiesEMP501 reconciliations and submissionPreparation and submission of IRP5sQualifications, requirements and advantagesQualifications; Any or a combination of the following degrees; BCom, BCompt, BAcc. CA(SA) status would be a distinct advantage.Registered with one (or more) of the following professional accounting industry organisations; - The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants - The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - Chartered Institute of Management Accountants - South African Institute of Professional Accountants - Institute of Administration and Commerce - Institute of Certified BookkeepersA minimum of 5 Years practical work experience as a Financial Manager with the requirement that the maximum allowed recent interval to have not been involved in the accounting industry to be set at 2 years.Proven ability in Sage One Payroll and Sage One Accounting System would be an advantage.Must be willing to be subjected to a psychometric test.
