Our client, Environmental Consultants based in Cape Town, are currently seeking the skills of a Sustainable Design Consultant.
Main job function Managing the Green Building Services Team Project Portfolio, including:Project managementQuality controlMeeting all deadlinesManaging deliverablesEnsuring Client satisfactionDelivering on the brand promisePreparation of fee proposals, tenders, scope of worksTracking of budgets and costs for each projectCoordinating and managing the Green Building Services Team, including:Quality controlMeeting all deadlinesManaging deliverablesEnsuring Client satisfactionDevelopment of the Green Building Services Team and Service Offerings, including:The development of operational systems and processes and continually improve the efficiency of the above-mentioned servicesThe development of new product offerings from the Green Building Services Team for the CompanyAssistance with Client recruitment, development and maintaining and enhancing Client relations for the companyAssistance with the Project recruitment and development for the CompanyDeveloping and implementing Training ProgrammesPublic SpeakingAssistance with strengthening existing partnerships and development of new strategic partnerships, respectivelyStrengthening and improving brand presence of the CompanyAdministration and general logistical support to the CompanyQualifications Post graduate Science or BSc/BEng Degree in Environmental or similar field.
Criteria Must have successfully managed and completed (as a lead) at least 5 Green Star Certifications and be qualified as an Accredited Professional with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA).3-5 years of successful private sector experience across the green building sector.Must have worked with multiple projects.Critical thinking skills.Obsessive attention to detail.Good project management skills.Good people skills.Exemplary work ethic.Not afraid to muck in to get the job done.The ability to push through to an end goal / outcome even if the landscape of the project changes.The ability to take instruction and act on this precisely and to deadlines.A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
