Overseeing and managing companys overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximise the process efficiency and productivity, oversees and manages every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product by ensuring that the right amount of product is made at the right time, as well as coordinate the storage of the product and organising the movement of goods from distribution centres to customers and stores involves forecasting trends and managing inventories. Key Accountability Areas: Leadership & Strategic Management Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Manage, coach, and develop high performing purchasing and cost estimating teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Procurement Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain. Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain to meet sustainability targets. Logistics Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies. Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution. Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials. Enterprise Resources Planning Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector. Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory. Manufacturing Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production. Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff, and visitors. Product Development Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing & Logistics or related field required. Masters Degree preferred. Skills & Experience 5 to 10 years experience at a Senior level in Logistics, Manufacturing and Procurement. Proven Leadership & Management experience Previous experience in Managing Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouses and Logistics in an independent position requiring certain deliverables. Excellent Knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint Strong and proven track record of achieving results. Strong planning skills Excellent time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams Negotiation and influencing skills Business management and analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both written and oral The ability to lead and motivate a team Understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.
