Posted 01-May-2024 Job type Full time Country South Africa Location Cape Town, Johannesburg Lead recruiter Vibhuti Shrotria Function Supply & Logistics Reporting Line Planning & Logistics Director AMEA On-site/Remote On-site Level of experience Professional (Management) Contract type PermanentYOUR OPPORTUNITYAs the MEA Planning & Logistics Manager, you will be driving the Planning & Logistics agenda for the team by executing the regional and global strategies along with the Regional Planning & Logistics Director for the team.About YouYou will be an integral part of the Planning & Logistics Team and work closely with the Regional Planning & Logistics Director and the wider team to develop the strategic plan for planning, manufacturing, customer services & logistics for the markets.RESPONSIBILITIESWith our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:Lead Supply Planning, Warehouse, Distribution & Customer Service activities, processes, people and financial requirements in order to achieve strategic vision and business objectives for MEA Cluster.Ensure Supply Alignment to the Demand Plan to deliver the business plan at optimum cost.Use data insights from the S&OP process to deliver to our customers the right product, at the right time, at the right place, with the right quality, at the right cost.Generate an environment of contribution and debate across the Cluster and between functions.Manage key internal and external stakeholders as a primary driver and challenge of the role along with driving leadership and vision to the team.Commit to the mission and motivate the team to achieve a common objective, understanding the dynamics of effective teamwork to attain higher levels of performance.Anticipate needs and respond to them as per defined process.Respect the regulations associated with Supply Chain activities (excise, importations, certifications etc.).Develop a centre-led product supply function across the Cluster.Collaborate with customers to improve performance and customer service levels and continuously share with peers across the region.Lead delivery of Warehouse & Distribution Strategy to reduce inventory days and logistics costs.Manage 3PL Relationship including Monthly Performance & Continuous Improvement on Customer Service & Cost.Manage Co-Pack Relationship including Monthly Performance & Continuous Improvement on Customer Service & Cost.Support and mentor the Cluster team to ensure continuous improvement regarding KPIs.SKILLS & EXPERIENCEThe Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy:Strong experience and knowledge across Supply Planning, Co-packing, Warehouse, Logistics, Customer Service & Customs requirements.Experience in manufacturing is an advantage; E2E Supply Chain knowledge is a must.Experience working in a global organisation, balancing local & global needs is advantageous.Managed change in a distribution or industrial supply chain organization where knowledge of international trading practices and global tax principles is vital to success.Communication: Structures and presents technical data in a clear and logical format.
