ABOUT HILLSIDE Our Hillside Aluminium smelter in Richards Bay produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets. ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is a permanent full-time position. As a Supervisor Potline Reduction, you will be responsible for the supervision and the execution of production and logistics activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel and lead in line with the schedule, standards and performance targets for People, HSECQ, Volume & Cost. Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans; Supervise and lead the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established performance targets; Ensure Production employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work; Provide input into production or logistics strategies, budgets, and plans as well as the improvement of work management processes and critical controls for material risks; Provide support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives; Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers. ABOUT YOU: You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: A minimum of 3-5 years in Production/ Industrial experience of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity in a production field; Be prepared to work shifts if needed; Perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization; Computer literacy (MS Office). Qualifications for this role are: Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study or a T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study; Valid Trade Test would be advantageous.
