ABOUT WESSELS: The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country's Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our Wessels Mine which represents one of the largest manganese reserves in South Africa. ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is a permanent full-time position. As a Superintendent Projects Delivery , you will be responsible to manage the development and safe execution of the Sustaining Capital Portfolio for Wessels Mine. Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: • Manage the project function to develop and deliver the sustaining capital portfolio; • Ensure governance is adhered to through the lifecycle of the capital projects; • Manage Health, Safety, Environment and Community engagements within the project environment; • Lead the development of the short and medium term capital portfolio; • Develop Project cost management plans for a simple to moderately complex projects; • Manage risks on complex Projects. ABOUT YOU: You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Projects & Mining environment of which 2 years in a supervisory capacity; • Experience of Underground TMM and Plants will be advantageous; • Knowledge of SAP and MS packages is essential. Qualifications for this role are: • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Project Management or Mining Engineering/Mine Overseer; • Government Certificate of Competency will be advantageous; South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
