RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable and well-established engineering consulting firm in the Western Cape, is currently looking to hire a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer who can join their successful and growing team in Cape Town as soon as possible.ResponsibilitiesCompleting structural analysis and design of complex structures fabricated from structural steelDesign of marine mining structures for shipsVibration design of structures, natural frequency, and harmonic response analysisDesign of land-based mining structuresFEA in Strand7VBA and API integration with Strand7RequirementsBSc/BEng degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 5-7 years' experience in the mineral mining and processing sectorPassionate about the design of steel structures and finite element analysisProficiency in Strand7 and other related softwareStructural steel and connection design experience and/or experience in civils (foundations, walls, retaining walls)Must have exceptional problem-solving skills as well as multi-disciplinary skills related to engineeringHighly organized and self-motivated
