Hatch is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and innovative Structural Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG), to be based in our office in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg.
As the successful candidate, you will: Be responsible for development of structural 3D models and 2D deliverables in accordance with project and Hatch standards.Assist with resolving structural technical issues and provide guidance to other designers as well as supervise and coordinate structural design tasks.Layout complex plant and structural systems using 3D modelling design tools.Produce 2D drawings from the 3D model.Ensure 2D deliverables are checked to comply with Hatch quality standards.Perform design for structural models using project specifications and procedures and apply industry best practices.Use vendor drawings and information to develop and check the model, facilitate formal structural design reviews, and produce general arrangement drawings from the 3D model inclusive of annotation.You bring to the role: 10+ years experience in structural design.Superb modelling skills in a 3D environment.Advanced diploma of engineering or equivalent (Civil preferred).Preferred knowledge of Bentley 3D design software tools, copper concentration or flotation experience.Sound knowledge of the applicable codes and standards.Don't meet every single requirement?
