Job Description
To take responsibility for creating and contextualizing operational strategies that align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and digitization. The role acts as a business architect bridging the gap between business and technology, will lead a team and work with business leaders to craft solutions that are fit for purpose.

Develop and execute strategic plans of the Business Unit/Segment to achieve the organization's goals and objectives, including conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying growth opportunities.
Plan and execute innovation and emerging business projects to take new ideas/opportunities from the ideation phase to the incubation phase of the R&D process.
Work with business leaders to facilitate understanding of the chosen direction.
Facilitate acceptance and commitment to strategic goals and business plans.
Ensure continuous communication of the strategic direction to the business.
Drive the strategy process into the business by working with business leaders to facilitate understanding of the chosen direction.
Support the development of business plans and actions.
Evaluate the competitive landscape and assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) of the organization.
Analyze industry and market trends to determine new and potential business capabilities.
Collaborate across business segments to find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the Innovation and emerging business pipeline.
Assess the economic impact of various business decisions and evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects or initiatives.
Be accountable for expense analysis and controls.
Build the business plan bottom-up with business leaders.
Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives.
Maintain work plans, incident tracking, error tracking, and documentation required to effectively manage deliverables and expectations consistent with business requirements.
Create business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations, and systems inter-operate within the organization.
Review, analyze, and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities to develop new products, technologies, and business models.
Ensure solutions developed across the organization align with business architecture standards and FM principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets.
Provide architectural oversight of projects; ensure requirements align with business strategies and business architecture roadmap/framework.
Take ownership and a 'hands-on' approach to define and deliver a program of work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of core business processes.
Prioritize change and manage multiple related change programs.
Assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and high-priority business issues.
Collaborate with various departments, such as human resources, finance, marketing, operations, and strategy to align strategies and ensure successful implementation.
Work with technical and business teams to evaluate new and emerging technologies, vendors, and business models.
Partner with the IT architecture team in developing an IT framework that aligns with the business plan.
Function as a liaison to Business and IT partners to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
In conjunction with business partners, initiate IT project requests, perform/lead initial analysis, and provide assessment and estimation of the effort.
Present findings, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior management or clients.
Lead Senior Management through the development of a business architecture plan for the line of business.
Lead efforts to identify business capability needs and prioritization.
Lead efforts to document capability and initiative needs and strategic prioritization into business architecture deliverables.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have the following:
Qualifications
Minimum qualification: a post-graduate or honours degree in a relevant field such as Finance, BS Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred qualification: a master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, BS Computer Science, or a related discipline or an MBA.
Experience and Skills
5 - 7 years experience in multi-disciplinary application of wide knowledge spanning business and technology.
Experience in planning, analysis, design, and implementation of business & IT initiatives.
Experience using model-based representations to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
Experience modeling business processes using various tools and techniques at all levels of the organization.
