Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Stores Supervisor for their Bloemfontein branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.The main function of this position is to oversee the team of employees within the warehouse/stores, and to be responsible for ensuring that operational objectives are met and that all aspects of the warehouse/stores are always running smoothly.The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:Supervise the bulk storage operations from goods receiving, storage and despatchReceive products from suppliersEnsure received products are packaged in accordance with Voltex specificationsMonitor supplier vehicle off-loading and ensure control of goods receiving areasCheck correct items and quantities are pulled and loaded for despatchCheck correct packaging and quality of items loaded for despatchEnsure no unauthorised removal of products from warehouseEnsure no unauthorised personnel enter the storesEnsure that the required paperwork is in order for all transactionsEnsure that the warehouse and stock within are kept secure at all timesEnsure the warehouse is kept neat and tidy at all timesAssist with stock takingThe key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:Matric / Equivalent is a MUSTMinimum of 5 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGEKnowledge of MS Office packagesExcellent electrical product knowledgeKnowledge of warehouse processesKnowledge of relative safety standards protective clothingThe desired skills and competencies required for this position amongst others would be:Time management skills; ability to manage own time and that of a team and being able to work in a fast-paced environmentStress tolerance; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesHands-on commitment; ability to get the job doneProblem solving skills; ability to listen, understand and solve operational problemsAttention to detail; being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks, to spot issues and monitor products or parts that do not meet complianceDependable; being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligationsCo-operative attitude; being pleasant with others on the jobAbility to work independently in a team and under pressure with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with internal and external customersUnderstand procedures for goods collection, dispatch, ordering and returnsJob Features Job Category Warehouse Apply Online First Name * Last Name * Race * Are you an internal or external candidate? * Should you not receive any feedback from us within 3 weeks of applying, please consider your application as unsuccessful *
