Stores Clerk

Key Functions: - Maintain accurate stock records to reflect current stocks available - Process all receipts of new items delivered to the stores stock items or buyouts - Assist with incident maintenance for direct stores issues, buyouts, maintenance and grounds - Receive and action all requests for direct issue from the stores - Produce issue documents - Prepare stocktaking documents when necessary - Assist with stocktaking - Process stocktaking results for analysis - Assist Procurement Officer with any developments as requested, such as obtaining quotations and doing comparative pricing - Inform Procurement Officer of any suspicious requests that may be received - Produce information from the Pastel system as required Requirements and Competencies: - The ability to work independently and under pressure - Computer literacy in particular Pastel, Excel - Knowledge and 5 years experience of stores procedures and principles - Ability to learn and adapt to developments - Good verbal communication - Accuracy - Integrity and honesty - Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
