Role SummaryReports to the Middelburg Branch ManagerThe Storeman is accountable for picking and binning parts accurately and timeously in the warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving and dispatching all parts.Accountabilities / Key Performance AreasBinning / pickingHousekeepingStock controlResponsibilitiesGood knowledge of components (mining) excavator partsBinning and picking of all partsLocate pre-determined bin location of all partsVerify the picked part accuracy required for detailed description, parts numbers, and quantity being picked / binnedAccuracy of supplying and receiving part quantities over the counterRequired to operate forklift for heavy-duty parts and other material equipmentHousekeeping / maintenanceGeneral orderly movement of all parts, boxes, and packagesAssist parts salesmanMaintain sales ordersParts GRVReplenishment ordersCapturing of serial numbers of major componentsAssist with stock takingReport all defects of parts to managerCycle count on a weekly basisEnsure that core components returns are plugged and clean before sending them back to head officeTransport arrangementsCreating bin locationsPre-shift inspection of forkliftQualificationsMatric (Grade 12) – Supply chain management / Storekeeping skillsExperienceMinimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain management / storekeeping / stock takingComputer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, ExcelSkillsSelf-motivatedNumericTeamworkSafety and securityCharacteristicsHonestReliableAble to make sound decisionsEnthusiasticPositive & Proactive
