IntroductionAssist and support the Planner with administrative tasks and analysis required to deliver optimum availability and profitable stock investments.
ResponsibilitiesProvide input into planning/buying processProvide the correct information to ensure correct allocationsPlanning (Store Sales Planning, Size Profiling, Store Profiles)Allocation of merchandise to storesLiaison with stores and suppliersIntegral part of the planning team and active participation with the department is requiredActive participation in departmental analysis down to store and size to enable tradeEffective use of reports available for analysisMinimum RequirementsRelevant retail/business qualification2 years retail experience (minimum)Numerical, analytical and interpretive abilityAnalytical capability (core skill, non-negotiable)Efficient and accurate attention to detailCommercial understanding and a merchant mindsetGood working knowledge of computer software, with intermediate to advanced working experience on Excel and Cognos reporting skillsAssertive, effective communication and interpersonal skillsAction-oriented and deadline-drivenProblem-solving abilityAbility to use own initiative and be proactiveAbility to work independently and decision-making abilityExcellent planning and organizing skillsCustomer Service OrientationSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with confidence
