Stock Control Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Stock Control Manager for a well-established and respected manufacturing company based in Atlantis. Ideally this candidate will have a minimum of 5 – 8 years' experience within this technical engineering environment.

Your responsibilities will include: To provide inventory control and warehouse management

Maintain detailed inventory of all incoming, outgoing, and current supplies

Prepare inventory for deliveries and shipping

Make necessary arrangement to organize stock pickup and deliveries

Stock investigation / queries

Supervise the store receiving local stock

Check, pack and bin stock correctly

Ensure correct samples are sent with the delivery driver

Track and ensure deliveries are received by the receiver

Checking and signing of credit notes (Good Returns)

Stock Adjustments

Make note of damaged inventory

Reporting monthly inventory levels, recording inventory for future use, and maintaining accurate records

Send a monthly budget update to the team

Administrative function

Costings

Previous experience with Sage Evolution or any other stock control packages

Strong on stock reconciliation and following up on any variances

Previous experience with BOM and manufacturing systems

Previous experience in setting up new systems

Responsible for full stock take monthly and yearly

Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12

Diploma / Certifications (Stock Management / Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration)

Minimum of 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in a similar environment

Demonstrated experience with stock and inventory management

Strong financial and accountancy background.

Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Sage Evolution & BOM Manufacturing Systems

Skills & Attributes: Excellent written and oral communication skills (English & Afrikaans)

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Assertiveness and punctuality

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
