This role supports the development and sales of process chemistries to the Mining industry. Kemira is an industry leader in supporting chemical applications at the mine sites, and in identifying and applying the most effective chemical applications used in mineral processing. The position will be located in South Africa.Your responsibilities will include:As an expert in metallurgical process and chemical application, you will actively work with our sales team in developing local strategies, in developing applications and related chemistries to the mining industry.Working closely with the existing sales team to meet or exceed sales and margin targets and developing profitable business within the African Mining Industry.Support in the preparation of short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets and supporting the development of the demand forecast in an assigned area.Retain long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business.What you can expect from us:An attractive salary, benefits package, and discretionary bonus.Interesting role in a globally successful company with an established market position and sustainable strategy.Great opportunity for trainings and professional growth.Possibility to work from home on non-travel days.Regular team events.Employment in a very successful company with a well-established market position and sustainable strategy.Work in a diverse and driven team.What you'll bring to the team:Bachelor's degree level and/or equivalent in Metallurgy, chemistry, or chemical engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Mining industry.Valid passport and willingness to travel in Africa (up to 50%) (Europe occasionally).Experience in the following areas preferred:Liquid/solid separation and filtration polymer and coagulant application.Mining water treatment.Mineral processing operational knowledge.Laboratory chemical evaluation related to the hydrometallurgical process.Planning, running, and reporting on trial evaluations (Plant and laboratory).Customer relationship management and reporting.Sales experience would be an additional benefit.Ready to create better every day?
