All overtime is at Time and a half after 40 hours. We are seeking skilled Train Painters to join our client's team at Crewe. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in painting trains and an understanding of various techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Duties:Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray equipment.Mix paints and other materials according to specifications.Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organized during the painting process.Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Perform basic maths to calculate quantities of materials needed for each job.Assemble and fabricate components as required for specific projects.Demonstrate knowledge to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the painting process.Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.Requirements:Proven experience in painting trains is essential.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment operation and maintenance.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a warehouse environment.If you possess these skills and are eager to contribute to our dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Painter.Job Type: Full-timePay: £17.25 per hour + £200 S.AExpected hours: 40 – 50 per weekExperience: Train Painting: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person, Wston Road, Crewe
