Job Summary The Investment Banking Technology team (IB Tech) is looking for a Solution Analyst to join the IBD Technology team in supporting vendor and in-house solutions. The Solution Analyst is responsible for supporting the area's applications, vendor support engagement, managing BAU improvements, and will be assigned on projects when required.
Job Description Required Education: Any relevant tertiary qualification (degree) in Finance/Actuarial Science/Information Systems/Computer Science/ Certificate in Business Analysis Required Experience/Skills: 5+ years business & systems analysis experience Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams Experience in Agile Methodology & working embedded within an Agile team/teams Banking domain experience, preferred Expertise in Systems Design and Integration A good grasp of fundamental business analysis techniques and project methodologies Microsoft Office Visio Experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, preferred Good understanding of financial products in the South African market Experience with data analytic tools such as Qlikview/Power BI Functional experience with ACBS and/or Front Arena Jira/Azure DevOps or related Apache Hadoop, Hive, Linux, Bash, Spark Version control tools, like Git Working with Hadoop; creation of data ingestion pipelines Advantageous Experience/Skills: Power Automate Python coding or being able to read and interpret Python code Experience with Loans product Required Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills High quality and delivery focused Resilience and drive with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Customer focused Collaborative team player Strong organisational skills Strong communication skills including conflict resolution Meetings and Presentation skills Avid learner Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Key Accountabilities: Provide functional support to IBD business areas for applications used such as Front Arena, ACBS etc. Keep data systems up to date such as Jira, Confluence, Change process systems. Engage with various IBD teams to clean data and streamline processes. Management of Hadoop feeds and processes. Creation and/or maintenance of Power BI dashboards/reports using different sources such as Hadoop, MyMI, file reports. Participate in projects assigned as per role. Apply analytical techniques to elicit and validate business needs using frameworks and tools as required. Capture business requirements in required format (formal BRD/User Story etc.) gaining appropriate approvals from key stakeholders. Ensure cohesion across business requirements, business processes, system processes and integration tracing impact of changes. Participate in peer reviews and problem solving. Define, execute and track test cases validating that requirements have been met. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate regularly keeping them informed of work statuses. Collaborate with development team to ensure understanding of requirements. Documentation of processes/guides, providing training and handover to business/support teams. Proactively learn & leverage knowledge on business, technical landscape and industry trends. Adherence and compliance to the banks policies & standards regarding technology and info security measures. Education Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
