Senior Data Analyst On-site in Sandton, with flexible working hours. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, formal modeling, and a commitment to delivering long-term, sustainable solutions.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Client Data technology team to understand and enhance data sets, adding value to ongoing projects.Take ownership of the Client Data Product, ensuring data is accurately modeled and easily consumable.Develop a deep understanding of various business areas and use analytics-based insights to suggest ways to reduce costs and increase revenue.Manage stakeholder expectations by maintaining clear and consistent communication.Follow the team's change control process for deploying and updating outputs in production.Document all processes and outputs thoroughly.Monitor and investigate any failed reports, applying appropriate fixes to ensure successful runs.Track the usage of created outputs, engaging with stakeholders to address any that are underutilized.Regularly interact with stakeholders to ensure outputs meet their intended purpose.Migrate existing analytics processes to Power BI and/or Synapse Analytics where possible.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Data Analyst.Strong formal modeling skills.Experience in creating reusable assets and focusing on long-term solutions.Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and/or Synapse Analytics.Experience with Microsoft Cloud-based tools for analytics, such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Analysis Services.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to understand and translate business requirements into actionable outputs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to effectively document processes.Preferred Qualifications:BCom Information Systems, BSc in Computer Science, or other relevant qualification.If you are a proactive Data Analyst looking to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking team, we encourage you to apply.
