Deliver and quality assure language, translation and editing services to Standard Bank South Africa to ensure the consistent and impactful application of message, style and tone in external facing communications, and provide related services to support the functional services and delivery model.QualificationsQualifications:A post graduate degree in language is required.Experience Required:5-7 years experience in Language Service at management level, managing multiple projects in parallel within legal and financial translation, with English as the primary language of communication and at least one additional South African official language at an expert level. Drive the translation, editing, and collating of complex technical language to a plain language format.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the compilation, updating, and maintenance of the Standard Bank Language Style Guide to ensure consistency of style and preferred word usage for both internal Language Services and external agencies.Contribute to the consistent application of plain language style and principles and the formulation of standard practice.Leverage and keep abreast of language best practice knowledge and plain language developments across the industry, implementing such knowledge and best practices, abiding by standards, and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge and expertise of the Language Services team.Manage and maintain a high standard in reviewing and editing documents, ensuring that the language is relevant to the intended audience and in accordance with the client's brief, correcting grammatical and other errors and ensuring optimal usage of plain language before sending for translation.Carry out translation, editing, and plain-language reviewing assignments and projects, coordinating the trafficking of language services requests to and from language agencies and returning quality deliverables to clients after quality-checking is complete for the management of the translation process.
