Specialist: Cloud Finops

Purpose Statement Our Platform Engineering team is currently recruiting for a Specialist in Cloud FinOps. The location being open to our Stellenbosch and Sandton offices.
To support Capitec's Technology Teams optimally manage their cloud platforms through:
Financial Management and optimization of Capitec's cloud-based technologies.Cloud cost and usage analysis and reporting.Collaboration and co-management of a team's cloud financialsResearching and advising on the use of various cloud services (and application to team environments).Identifying cloud wastage and managing initiatives to reduce identified cloud wastage.Implementation of team specific KPI.Exposure - 60% Financial Management and 40% Technology engineering and optimization.Experience Minimum: 2+ Years experience in a Cloud FinOps capacityExperience in working with various cloud technologies (AWS & Azure)Experience in relevant costing and reporting tools, IE. PowerBI, ExcelIdeal: Experience in financial services or banking organisation.2+ years as a Qualified Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) or Chartered Accountant (SA)Qualifications (Minimum) A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or FinanceQualifications (Ideal or Preferred) A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology - IT Engineering or Information TechnologyKnowledge Understanding of Cloud Financial Management principalsIn-depth knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected FrameworkIn-depth knowledge of the AWS Whitepaper on Cloud Financial ManagementUnderstanding of Cloud TransformationUnderstanding of Technology Software Development Life CycleIdeal: Technology Financial ManagementCosting and reporting tooling, IE.
