Coco Spa @ The Regent is a luxury spa in Morningside, Johannesburg, offering an urban sanctuary to suburban dwellers seeking a pampering refuge of calm, health, and serenity for the body, mind, and spirit. At Coco Spa, the concept of wellness within the city is alive. Our luxury spa includes four ambient rooms that host treatments inspired by ancient therapeutic massage healing and thalassotherapy, bringing an infusion of African, Asian, and Greek techniques. The spa also offers a wide variety of beauty treatments, providing luxury nail treatments including nail extensions, manicures, and pedicures using gel or regular polish. Coco also has specialised waxing services as well as makeup.
Administration Time sheet planning and submission. Weekly and daily revenue summaries are checked. Daily and weekly occurrences are recorded. Commission summaries are completed. Staff participation in responsibilities. Meeting agendas and minutes are planned and all points are followed up daily and weekly. Weekly staff operational meetings to discuss all issues. General organizing and liaising with all concerned for successful daily operations of the spa. Management & Leadership of Spa Staff General coordination, delegation, and participation. Staff training to ensure correct standards are maintained at all times, including treatments. Open and constructive staff communication, ensuring all issues are dealt with promptly and professionally. Constant and productive staff motivation to achieve targets. Regular staff appraisals and disciplinary inquiries, with all applicable paperwork correctly filled out and filed for easy access. Daily staff record-keeping. Ensuring staff abide by rules, regulations, and procedures; responsible for staff conduct. Staff advertising and newsletters. Informing staff about all treatments, products, and general information. No staff loitering at the reception desk, talking, and waiting for clients. Ensuring staff are always presentable and conduct themselves accordingly. Assisting in recruitment and selection. Ensuring Excellent Customer Service in the Spa Performing all treatments, reaching targets, and setting a standard for all staff to follow. Managing client relations, including handling customer complaints and queries. Ensuring all reception calls are dealt with professionally and all cancellations are rescheduled. Prompt answering of calls by all staff, with the ability to inform guests about all spa-related information. Maintaining constant staff presence at reception. Keeping music playing in the treatment rooms constantly. Prompt and professional guest service. Immediate assistance for all guests entering the reception area. Keeping all treatment rooms clean with weekly thorough cleaning. Maintaining and improving spa standards and professionalism. Encouraging guests to return and assisting them immediately. Hosting clients in the spa and being available to answer all queries. Being on the spa premises when not performing treatments, available for guests, and promoting the spa. Constantly monitoring spa clients and encouraging them to become regular clients. Management of Sales & Revenue for the Spa Daily product sales and assisting other staff members to increase their daily product sales with training. Implementing promotions and liaising with Head Office. Booking, promoting, planning, and following up on group conferences. Implementing marketing, public relations, advertising, and promotions. Achieving monthly revenue targets. Managing administrative and accounting tasks. Management of Expenses & Logistics of the Spa Overseeing weekly and monthly stock take and placing product orders. Ensuring the spa ambiance is soft, professional, and quiet, with all staff talking quietly. Keeping the spa immaculate, playing music, and maintaining low voices. Monitoring budget figures, both expenses and targets, and implementing necessary procedures to achieve these figures. Submitting Capex for equipment for the spa. Accountable for Assistant Managers' responsibilities. Performing any supplementary task or duty reasonably necessary to carry out the main functions or duties of the job. Skills Required Mature and Responsible Confident Trustworthy Self-motivated Dedicated Problem Solver Confidential Excellent communication skills Empathy Financial Managerial Inherent Job Requirements Required to work 45 hours per week as per schedule. Required to work 2/3 weekends per month. Required to perform all spa treatments.
