South Africa: Artisan Fitter C2- (Extraction) Posted by: Recruitment Web South Africa Job Requirements: Completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
A recognized Trade Test certificate in Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
At least 5 to 8 years of heavy industrial fitting experience.
Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Specific knowledge of Front-End Equipment (dewatering mills & carriers).
Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams.
Good understanding of the principles and techniques associated with condition-based monitoring and modern alignment.
Computer literate & conversant with planned maintenance systems will be an added advantage.
Sugar Mill experience will be an added advantage.
Rigging experience.
Turning/Welding experience.
Key Focus Areas: Carry out plant inspections and schedules as per the scheduled maintenance manual.
Carry out maintenance, overhauls gearboxes, pumps, centrifugals, fans, repairs on hydraulic systems, etc.
Perform project work, such as installation of conveyors when required.
Carry out fault finding on pneumatic systems.
