Mechanical Draughtsman

Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete all administration regarding drawing and drawing controls.Perform all administrative tasks related to drawings.Reverse engineer a variety of components.Be well-versed with measuring equipment.Be able to interpret and generate DXF files.Read and understand drawings.Conduct limited design work in the field of assignment.Prepare complex schematic drawings from rough sketches or oral instructions.Create pictorial and isometric drawings for reports, and plot charts and curves from data.Make models of components and create drawings of the models.Client liaison.Follow up on projects.Update drawings and part lists.Control drawing register.RequirementsMechanical Draughting certificate/diploma.Must be a South African citizen.Experience with SolidWorks/Edgcam.Minimum 2-5 years' experience in the general Draughting field.3D scanning experience is a bonus.Sheet metal experience is a bonus.Desired SkillsMechanical draughtsmen3D scanningSheet metalSolidWorksEdgcamDesired Work Experience2 to 5 years Engineering DraughtingDesired Qualification LevelCertificateAbout The EmployerOur client based in Benoni in the heavy engineering sector is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman.
