Sous Chef - Muldersdrift

Large hotel with extensive conferencing facilities based in Muldersdrift is looking for a Sous Chef.Responsible for:Cost and stock control.Menu planning and costing.Stock ordering, receiving, and storing stock, as well as invoice control.Familiar with all aspects of the management of the kitchen.Staff managment and handling discipline issues.Overseeing all aspects of health & safety, as well as fire emergency proceduresTrain and guide staff in all aspects of the kitchen.Requirements:Previous experience in a 3-4 star Hotel that caters for Conference and Banqueting events.Must have formal chef school training and hold a diploma or any other accredited qualificationMust have predominantly Restaurant / Banqueting environment experienceMust be familiar with all aspects of the kitchen.Creative and be able to create exceptional food.Must have good leadership skills.Must be computer literateMust have good communication skills and be fluent in English.Must be innovative and honest, with sober habitsMust be able to work under pressureMust be able to take initiative and work independently.Must have driver's license and own transport.
