Sous Chef
to join our team and help bring our bold culinary vision to life.
About Us:
Our restaurant is a new, innovative dining experience focusing on the art of open fire cooking. We specialize in cooking over wood-fired grills, bringing rich, smoky flavors to every dish we serve. With an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices, we aim to create memorable meals that celebrate the beauty and tradition of open fire cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the kitchen
in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring the smooth operation of all kitchen activities.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes
using open fire techniques, ensuring consistency and creativity in every plate.
Assist with menu development
, contributing innovative ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience.
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff
, ensuring they maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
Ensure stock levels
are maintained and assist with ordering and inventory management.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards
are met at all times, in line with health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively
with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent service and guest satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of
3 years' experience
in a similar role, with a proven track record in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
Strong
leadership and communication skills
, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Creative thinking
and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to innovate and contribute to the development of new dishes.
A solid understanding of
food safety standards
and best kitchen practices.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
