Our client is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to be established in Kempton Park, South Africa.The purpose of this position is to take responsibility for the full spectrum of procurement processes for Africa and Rep Offices.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain an approved suppliers list for each category and ensure dual/multiple supplier sourcing with sourcing rules.Develop the mitigation plan for single source spend.Identify risk in a supply chain and manage programs to mitigate such risks.Identify and onboard suppliers as per Procurement Policy.Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to execute purchase orders to vendors and follow up on delivery schedules, with a constructive order management approach.Ensure proper maintenance of master data in ERP.Analyze inventory reports and be responsible for monitoring the inventory replenishment process.Ensure that all purchasing activities are compliant with the procurement procedures and policies.Analyze spending on suppliers and identify opportunities for productivity savings to maintain ideas funnel on a continuous basis.Proactively investigate continuous improvement on procurement processes.Plan and execute logistics (Road, Ocean, and Air).Conduct and track key supplier performance, maintaining long-lasting relationships and partnerships with existing suppliers.Execute and drive supplier sustainability projects and reports to support responsible sourcing.Define and execute sourcing plans in accordance with strategic sourcing methodology in launching RFQ and RFP processes for direct and indirect procurement.Negotiate price, quantity, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules with suppliers.Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.Assess quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.Provide solutions to improve and maintain vendor management resulting in the rationalization and harmonization of the supply base.Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.Support XGP requirements and form a central point for Africa XGP process.Manage GEP projects, contracts, and pricing.Develop systems and processes for procurement and associated trade compliance processes.Proficiency in SAP ERP including MRP and Master Data.A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.Sound time-management and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge in iScala will be an advantage.Possess a continuous improvement mindset.A good team player with good analytical thinking, meticulous and follow-up skills.Initiative-taking and able to work independently under a fast-paced environment.Able to work independently, must multitask under minimal supervision.Desired Experience & QualificationPreferably an Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.Diploma with Supply Chain / Business or related field.CIPS / APICS Related Qualification.Experience working with suppliers and conducting supplier evaluations will be an advantage.5 Years proven experience in international sourcing processes.10 Years solid experience in Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).Experience in Metrology Business or Instrumentation industry is required.Will be required to travel between Head Office and Morocco.Package & RemunerationR100 000 CTC
