The ideal somatologist is a compassionate and knowledgeable practitioner who expertly integrates various bodywork techniques to promote holistic healing and wellness. They possess a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the interconnectedness of body and mind. Their expertise enables them to address a wide range of issues, from physical pain and tension to emotional stress and trauma, using therapies that may include massage, body manipulation, and somatic exercises.
What Is Required:
A Somatologist is a specialized professional dedicated to enhancing clients' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being through body-centered therapies and techniques. The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that address a range of issues, including physical discomfort, emotional stress, and psychological trauma. By integrating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and somatic practices, the Somatologist aims to promote holistic healing, improve overall health, and support clients in achieving a balanced and harmonious state of being.
Minimum requirements
Matric
3 year Somatology qualification (ITEC or CIDESCO preferred)
At least 3 years industry experience
Familiar with all the treatment protocols, including Manicure, pedicure, gel, waxing, skincare and massage
Advanced skincare specialist
Carry out accurate skin analysis and give advice about skin and body care
Hosting guests
Build and maintain client relationships
