Engineering ManagerOur client is a dominant sustainable energy partner, catering for commercial and industrial customers in the Middle East and Africa.Job Description:The primary responsibility of the Engineering Manager is to oversee and guide the design team based in South Africa. This entails transforming initial system concepts into meticulously detailed designs ready for construction. Additionally, the Engineering Manager lends support to the project management team and ensures corporate assurance in all aspects of photovoltaic (PV) system engineering and technology.Requirements:BTech/ BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering8+ years of experience in the solar industry, at least 3 years in a managerial position with a background in technical consulting, EPC or Asset Management.Experience of working in a multinational, multi-segment, environment with matrix reporting.Expert command of PVSYST, SOLARGIS, AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP, PVCase, HOMER Software to do modeling, design, analysis, optimization, monitoring, control, and automation for PV and BESS systems.Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV/MV/HV, protection logic and termination) and structural design components and solar equipment manufacturers.Knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations with local grid operators in respective YDE markets, National Electrical Code and International standards.Duties include but are not limited to:Technical Design Knowledge and Project ManagementTeam Leadership and Stakeholder ManagementCorrespondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates.
