Overview Company Overview: Our client is a leading provider of innovative energy solutions, specializing in static power systems and renewable energy technologies. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Engineer to join their Static Power Business Unit based in Benoni.

Position Overview: As a Solar Engineer within their Static Power BU, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of solar energy projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate solar power systems with our static power infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and maximum efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge renewable energy solutions while making a positive impact on the environment.

Responsibilities: Design and engineer solar power systems, including photovoltaic arrays, inverters, and energy storage solutions, tailored to meet project requirements. Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy audits to identify optimal locations and configurations for solar installations. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate solar energy solutions with existing static power systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability. Oversee project implementation, including procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Perform system performance evaluations, monitoring, and troubleshooting to identify and address operational issues and optimize energy output. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in solar energy and static power systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and commissioning solar energy projects, preferably within the static power sector. Strong technical proficiency in solar photovoltaic systems, inverters, energy storage technologies, and relevant design software. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing solar energy and electrical installations.
