LOCATION:RosebankPRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:
The Social Media & PR Specialist role is responsible for the ongoing management and growth of Capsicum & IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management's social media and Public Relations presence in alignment with business strategies and direction.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Social Media Management
Planning, managing and executing social media and PR initiatives.
Content Development
Responsible for developing content across owned and earned social channels. This could include blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos.
Creating & growing business presence
Creates, manages and grows business presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.
Team work & collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communication plans that leverage the social media and PR space. You will own the strategy and the execution of the ideas.
Reports on the agreed monitoring metrics for all assets (social media and online)
Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
Campus visibility on the available social media and PR platforms
Ensure that success stories and events hosted are uploaded on social media and PR Platforms.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant or studying towards Degree or Diploma with a focus on communication: Advertising/Marketing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
2+ years' experience or equivalent exposure to a corporate environment.
KNOWLEDGE & OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram.
Experience with leveraging social media management and analytics tools.
Experience writing, editing and crafting content for the social media space.
Can deal comfortably with senior managers.
Can present to senior managers without undue tension and nervousness.
Can effectively cope with change.
Builds rapport well.
Comfortably coachable.
Proven computer literacy competence - MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access (or any database software).
Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing social media initiatives.
Knowledge of Digital Marketing current best practices and understanding of Digital production processes.
Knowledge of social media legal guidelines.
