Purpose of Position: To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples and to assist with supervision related tasks within the Clinical laboratory environment.
Requirements: Certificate: SupervisionHPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice FieldNational Diploma: Biomedical TechnologyRequired Experience: Experience in pathology laboratory environment.
Knowledge: Google and Google MailInstrumentation and MethodologiesMaterials ManagementMeditech systemMS ExcelMS WordQuality ControlRelevant pathology test proceduresAmpath Safety, Health and Environment management policyKey Responsibilities: Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath.Perform administration tasks to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory to ensure best practices are upheld.Process routine bench work in laboratory to ensure efficient processing of specimens.Provide technical support within the laboratory to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimens.Supervise laboratory personnel to ensure that departmental objectives are achieved.Applicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit.
