Requirements

5 - 10 years working experience in a similar environment
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Registered with professional body
Must have experience working with heavy current
Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Sound judgment, reasoning, and decision-making skills
Effective resource utilization and team management skills
Valid wireman's license (Registration) - SABS 10142 Code of Practice (Advantageous)
ECSA Registered (Advantageous)
Must be willing to travel

Scope of Work

Manage company portfolio of factories
Oversee Transformer Servicing
Oversee Switchgear Servicing
Responsible for the upkeep of Substations and LV rooms
Monitoring of the incomer supply to the consumer
Drafting and maintaining of infrastructure cable routes and confirming cable amperage
Maintenance and service of the DB panels
Infrared scanning and reporting
Advise around future planning and installation to maintain the infrastructure's integrity and efficiency

The incoming supply capacity is 30 MVA with 33 x Transformers onsite and 5 x Substations/LV rooms.
