Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Leads the risk based, criticality framework implementation.Provide direction and participates in new equipment specifications.Conducts RCM exercises for all new equipment before commissioning establishing the maintenance strategies and task lists to be adopted.Participate in Group wide equipment tactics development and review of primary production equipment.Providing support to the Asset Manager towards setting up and sustaining a pro-active Asset Management Approach, with optimised Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) tactics in place.Confirming Statutory Compliance standards to be met with sites.Develops and reviews RCM based task lists for all critical equipment.Assist and participate in Operational Risk Management Programmes.Leads the development of Life Cycle Cost models for major equipment.Undertake equipment audits and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures, specifications and standards.Establishes programs to improve the quality of maintenance work and systems employed striving toward precision maintenance culture.Directs maintenance personnel to continuously evaluate compliance and strict adherence to the established procedures, specifications and policies.Establish a monitoring system to measure maintenance quality and improvement initiatives.Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups in order to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function.Prioritise and register the identified improvements within the asset management planning process from audit and analysis findings.Assist the Asset Manager in planning all asset management improvement initiatives in a 5 year rolling plan.Employ sound reliability engineering principles and methods, to minimise the risk of non-performance to production plan and budgets caused by equipment reliability issues.Analyse failure event, distribution, behavior, cost and risk data to determine action priorities.Analyse maintenance and loss/delay production data to determine failure modes, behaviours and relationships to determine task priorities by risk and value within the asset management planning process.Supports full implementation of Work Management, based on the Operating Model principles.Liaises with planners to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance with the established priorities.This role is a Band 6 role reporting to the Engineering Asset Manager. QualificationsGrade 12Degree – BSc or BEng Engineering Degree (Mech, Elec, Industrial, Process, Chemical)GCC or MSc Degree (Engineering or Process) will be advantageousExperience, knowledge and Skills Extensive experience (typically 5 years) in the maintenance of mining and/or plant equipmentConversant with MHSA and the OHSA actsExtensive experience in Reliability Engineering rolesDemonstrated skill in managing people and resourcesDemonstrated Business AcumenAdvanced level computer literacy: MS Office Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Visio / MS ProjectsStrong ERP Competencies in the Engineering, Costing, Material Management, Data Warehousing and Projects ModulesExcellent analytical and Data Management skills (Data Mining / Data Interpretation (Translate results into actions)Accomplished in a broad range of technical skills relating to the engineering disciplineWorking knowledge of client disciplines – Mining, EngineeringValid driving licence 08Skilled in reliability centred maintenance as well as Root Cause Analysis Causal methodHow to ApplyThis role is open to Anglo American employees only.
