Job ClassificationRequisition - 137091 - Nozi MasabalalaCluster - Nedbank Wealth Cluster - Nedgroup Private Wealth StockbrokersClosing Date - 29 November 2024Please Note : Preference will be given to applicants from Underrepresented GroupsJob Family: Investment BankingCareer Stream: SalesLeadership Pipeline: Manage Self : ExpertFAIS Affected: YesJob PurposeTo achieve sales and business growth targets by selling Nedgroup Private Wealth Stockbroking (NPWS) products to institutional clients and to service and retain existing clients, in line with the business strategy.Job ResponsibilitiesContribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).Research and make recommendations for corporate citizenship initiatives in area of influence.Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy).Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.Initiate and develop strategic relationships with key service providers in the industry by maintaining relationships through regular meetings, presentations, and workshops to drive new business opportunities.Facilitate introductions to new clients directly or through intermediary service providers and raise awareness of NPW investment products through face-to-face time with consultants.Pitch to potential clients both in presentation and tender form to secure new business.Attend industry relevant events to network and raise profile of NPW capabilities and products.Source and extract relevant information from various databases and generate sales through cold calling and networking channels.Ensure the distribution of all communications and reporting material to clients is received on regular basis.Provide investment education to clients where necessary through presentations, workshops, etc. Initiate and deliver on appropriate client appreciation events.Manage sales activity and internal processes to support sales.Provide support to the Product arm of the business to help that area of the business achieve its targets.Sell the NPWS proposition through presentations, pitches, workshops, client appreciation events and utilising Nedbank's marketing channels.Oversee the onboarding process, collation, distribution and signing of all necessary documentation and agreements for the implementation of new business.Ensure accurate record-keeping of all client engagements, whether in person or other form.Ensuring Compliance with prevailing regulatory and legislative environment.Compile monthly reports to management on all client activities and sales or client flows.Review ongoing appropriateness of internal processes and adjust where necessary.Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.Enable skilling and required corrective action to take place by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.Essential Qualifications - NQF LevelMatric / Grade 12 / National Senior CertificateAdvanced Diplomas / National 1st DegreesPreferred QualificationFinancial Management Degree or relevant undergraduate degree or HonoursEssential CertificationsJSE Traders ExamRelevant Registered Persons ExamRegistered Derivatives trader with a JSE Dealer codeSAIS registered StockbrokerMinimum Experience Level5-10 years' experience in a Stockbroking related services2 years' experience in a business development roleTechnical / Professional KnowledgeBanking knowledgeBusiness AcumenIndustry trendsMicrosoft OfficePrinciples of project managementRelevant regulatory knowledgeRelevant software and systems knowledgeRisk management process and frameworksBusiness writing skillsCluster Specific Operational KnowledgeBehavioural CompetenciesBuilding Trusting RelationshipsLeveraging a Winning Sales StrategyAdvancing Sales DiscussionsHigh-Impact CommunicationSales DispositionTechnical / Professional Knowledge and SkillsPlease contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566
